Not sure if you are ready to start the Tec Deep Course? 

If you're interested in technical diving, but not sure if your ready for the DSAT Tec Deep Diver Course the PADI's Distinctive Specialty Tec Basics is for you. The specialty will be credited towards your DSAT Tec Level 1 Course when you wish to continue your Technical Training.

PADI Tec Basics dive scope is within recreational limits, it uses segments from DSAT Tec Deep Level 1 Course. The course is designed to be a bridge from PADI courses to DSAT courses providing you with an opportunity to gain exposure to tec diving and learn and practice entry level tec diving skills. It introduces you to tec diving without having to make the larger commitment (in terms of equipment, time and cost) of the DSAT Tec Deep course.

What do I need to start?

  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)
  • PADI Enriched Air Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)
  • PADI Rescue Diver (is recommended)
  • Be 18 years of age
What will I Do?

You will do complete Knowledge Review 1 and 2 after reading chapters 1 and 2 from the Tec Deep Manual then you will do x2 Confined Water Dives (pool) followed by x2 Open Water Dives (max depth 24 metres)

What will I need?

Tec Deep Diver Manual, which includes student manual, planning slate and checklist slate (need a week before the start of the Course to complete some Knowledge Reviews etc)
