What is the PADI Deep Diver Specialty Course..?

This course is designed to be an introduction to deep diving and to help you develop the necessary skills, knowledge and techniques to safely participate in deep diving activities. The Deep Specialty is a great course, as it will extend your max depth (Advanced Open Water 30 meters) to a max of 40 meters. This course teaches you to plan and safely perform a dives to a max depth of 40 meters.

What do I need to start and how long is the course?

Be certified as a PADI Adventure Diver and be 15 years of age or older. This course is run over 2 days and consists of 4 open water training dives.

What is the PADI Enriched Air Diver Specialty Course..?

Welcome to one of PADI’s most popular specialties – the PADI Enriched Air Diver course. Diving with enriched air nitrox lets you safely extend your no stop time beyond the no decompression limits for air. Diving with enriched air means more time underwater – but you need to be certified as an Enriched Air Diver to get enriched air fills.

Whether you’re into underwater photography, wreck diving or thinking about getting into Technical Diving. Either on vacation in some tropical paradise or just out for a leisurely day of diving at your local dive site, the PADI Enriched Air Diver course helps you get more out of diving by giving you more time underwater.

After completing this specialty you can start with PADI's New Distinctive Specialty Tec Basics and see if the DSAT Tec Courses are for you...

What do I need to start and how long is the course?

Must be a PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization). This course is very easy you get the materials and complete two knowledge reviews, then when ready I will arrange a afternoon or evening in the classroom where we go over your knowledge reviews whilst watching a Enriched Air DVD. I will show you how to use the Enriched Air tables which is easy and don't worry if you have forget since your Open Water Course will do a refresher on RDP use before we start.

Then Learn to analyze cylinder contents and plan enriched air dives using tables and dive computers to safely increase your no stop time. Finally when ready you sit the exam after successful completion of the exam your certified that same day. There will be an option to do some (optional) Enriched Air Dives after the Course.

Both these Certifications count as 2 of the 5 Specialties needed toward the Master Scuba Diver rating...

Please contact me for scheduling for any or both these courses below.

Calendar shows where I will be and duration of my time there. If I am in your area and you want to join a course, contact me for locations. If you see any dates free and would like me to visit your dive centre or location, drop me an email with location, course interest and possible dates.
Want to know more about how your cylinders weight changes during a dive..? Video has information on what effects the weight change and has tests showing cylinders at different air pressures during dives in salt and fresh water. It displays whether they have Negative, Neutral or Positive Buoyancy. More details found at www.sidemountscubadiving.com
