Why become a Emergency First Response Instructor..?

Firstly I have found this helps me in 3 ways, alright I can earn additional income, I can not think of a better way to keep my own skills refreshed that to be teaching other people and the best reason would be that every time you get one person to become a (EFR) First Aider that person could potentially make the difference when it comes to saving another persons life...

What do we do during the Course..?

During the Emergency First Response Instructor course, you will build on your skill as an Emergency Responder and focus on developing your instructional abilities to teach these skills to others.

The Instructor course provides you with the additional training necessary to teach the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid) and Care for Children courses. (First Aid at Work Great Britain require additional training)

Through a multi-media approach of independent study, classroom sessions and practical teaching assignments, you learn to conduct Emergency First Response courses. You also learn how to motivate students, evaluate student knowledge, present course content effectively, become proficient in developing students' hands-on skills practice sessions, and are taught how to present an effective scenario-based learning experience. I will emphasize a positive, relaxed class environment, where I show you how to help your students have a good time, ensuring easy learning.

Already a Scuba Dive Instructor then you need this qualification why..?

Because several PADI courses require students to have CPR and First Aid training, becoming an EFR Instructor allows you to offer all-inclusive programs. Students will not have to look elsewhere for the training they need. Also, since EFR is not diving specific, you can offer this training to all your customers, friends and family.

What do I need to start the Course and how long will it take..?

To enter the Emergency First Response Instructor course, you must be 18 years old and have completed adult, child and infant CPR and first aid training in the past 24 months or a be a practicing medical professional such as a physician, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic and Registered Nurse. The Course can be done over a day when requested and for (IDC) Candidates it is conducted usually before the IE.
